Arsenal’s financial look

If there is one thing Arsenal are expected to always rejoice about, it is the financial status of the club. Though the gunners have failed in all attempts to win at least a trophy since 2006, their financial status is not the same.
Arsenal have always recorded a profit at the end of every year, and kudos will have to be given to the manager Arsene Wenger for his successful management.
A recent financial analysis conducted by the Arsenal Supporters’ Trust shows that despite a wage rise of £19million in the previous year, Arsenal have around £42.5million free cash.
The ‘premier league’s new deal which start effectively next season will see TV revenues rise up to £35million per year. Then, Arsenal’s annual turnover could exceed the £300million mark, though it is currently £243million.
The club is also set to change its shirt sponsor as the agreement with Nike expires in the summer of 2014. Adidas, who are to be the new partner are expected to pay a huge amount for this deal considering the fact that they just lost Liverpool to a new sposor, Warrior, and are seriously in search for a top flight club to promote them.
The gunners could well renegotiaite their deal with Emirates which also expire in the summer of 2014, with the aim of matching Etihad’s lucratie deal with Manchester city.
And considering the future revenues coming into the club, the AST believe Wenger could sign two players at transfer fees of £25m each and give them six-figure contracts if he so wished — providing Arsenal continue to qualify for the Champions League.
Literally, when the fiancial fair play has been strictly adhired to, Arsenal can get to compete in the transfer market with the likes of Barcelona, Manchester United and others.
Arsenal will however have to step up the performances on the field of play in order to make this dream come true. Constant Champions League qualification and a couple of trophies within the next 5 years will undoubtedly take the club to that dreamed position among other clubs. Lets hope this come true!
